My Review: Joker Folie à Pierre Deux

I’ll admit, I was completely taken by surprise! I walked in expecting a sequel to The Joker, only to find myself subjected to a musical experience instead. Honestly, I think Warner Bros and the director could have spent that $50 million on something much more impactful!

I do feel for the leads, Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix. They truly delivered strong performances and might even snag some Oscars, but I can’t help but wonder if they were just as confused as the rest of us! This time, we follow Arthur Fleck, a struggling comedian grappling with his dual identity, as he meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while in Arkham State Hospital.

I was anticipating some serious drama, but instead, it felt like I was watching Singing in the Rain. Save your money, folks—better to wait for it to stream for free!
