Michelle Williams turned heads in a bold, vibrant power suit during her daytime appearance on Good Morning America. The actress discussed her return to Broadway in the musical adaptation of the cult classic, which has received positive reviews.
The striking ensemble featured a double-breasted blazer with a stunning ombré effect, blending hues of yellow, orange, and pink in a seamless gradient. The blazer’s sharp peaked lapels, long sleeves, side flap pockets, and button-front closure added a touch of structure. She paired the blazer with wide-leg trousers that echoed the ombré shades, extending the colorful flow from top to bottom.
Williams kept her accessories minimal, opting for translucent, peep-toe heels that allowed the outfit to take center stage. Her raven-black hair, styled in loose waves with a side part, cascaded past her shoulders, while her makeup embraced a natural glow bold brows, a soft liner, and a glossy, understated lip.
As for her time on Good Morning America, Williams opened up about her Broadway journey, reflecting on her return to the stage and the possibility of a Tony nomination for her role in Death Becomes Her. “I feel like I’ve already won just by being back on Broadway,” she shared with co anchor Robin Roberts. After a six-year hiatus, her last Broadway role was in 2018’s Once on This Island, where she played Erzulie. Michelle first made her Broadway debut in 2003 as the lead in Aida.
“Death Becomes Her” is a musical based on the 1992 film of the same name. The story follows “frenemies” Madeline and Helen. After Madeline “steals” Helen’s fiancé, Helen plots her revenge.
