They would often play cards and end up with no money or food, so Patti would make meals for them. Despite taking her Tupperware, Elton later changed his name to Elton John and invited Patti to one of his shows. After performing together, he gifted her a stunning diamond ring as a humorous thank-you for the Tupperware he never returned!
