Tiffany Haddish Addresses Baby Rumors On Jimmy Kimmel

On Tuesday, August 19, comedian and actress, 45, continued her weeklong guest-hosting stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live!and addressed swirling rumors that she had a baby with Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee during her opening monologue.

The speculation began after the Girls Trip star posted a photo of herself with Lee while holding a baby, leaving fans to wonder if she had secretly welcomed a child. “There’s a personal matter I feel I must address,” she began. “A couple of weeks ago, I shared something on Instagram that made everyone go a little crazy.”

She went on to explain, “It was just a picture of me and my friend Jason Lee holding a baby with the caption, ‘Cat’s out of the bag.’ For some reason, people took that to mean I had a baby. Articles were popping up everywhere even my own family started asking me if I had a secret baby, which is kind of insulting considering they all live in my house and keep me from having any time to myself!”

“The whole world has lost its mind over this beautiful baby,” Lee said, prompting Haddish to joke, “We just took a picture with a baby, and then everything blew up so now we’ve got a godbaby.”

Lee appeared surprised, to which Haddish teased, “Yeah, I went ahead and made it our godbaby. Jason, the offer still stands if you ever want to make a real baby together. You know I’m traditional.”

Lee quipped back, “And I’m still gay,” sending the audience into laughter.

Haddish concluded, “So, just to be clear I did not have a baby. But I am open to it… wide open to it,” before asking Lee, who was in the audience, what he thought about the rumors.
