The Accessories Council (Ac) has unveiled its 22nd digital issue of Ac Magazine, the Fall Issue featuring two-time Emmy Award-winning TV host, journalist & bestselling author, Tamron Hall on the cover.
Conceptualized and photographed by Ac’s Creative Director Andrew Egan and interviewed by Editor-in-Chief, Karen Giberson. Hall, who incorporated her personal glam team from the show into the shoot, including her personal fashion stylist, hair stylist, and makeup artist, kicked off the 7th season of her Emmy Award-winning talk show (on September 8th) as well as celebrated her milestone 55th birthday (on September 16th), talks about being a mom, a bold dresser, and a driving force as the face of daytime television.
On representing herself through fashion:
“Fashion is a weapon. It’s not just what you wear it’s how you present yourself to the world.”
On her heritage and adopting her family’s style and legacy:
“In the South, Sunday wasn’t just church. It was a runway. My grandfather Louis Mitchell was a sharecropper, but on Sundays, he transformed. A beautiful suit, a perfect hat suddenly, he was Mr. Mitchell. It showed me the power of presentation.”
On fashion’s power to connect:
“Hoops are my love letter to Jody Watley and Sade. Some people see them as edgy or urban. I see them as a symbol of resilience and beauty. A simple circle that always sparks a reaction.”
On her revolving styling and career:
“I want women to know: your fifties can be fun, flirty, and fearless. Why play small when you can live big?”
On her passion for vintage accessories:
“I still remember my first pair of vintage cat-eye sunglasses I bought in Nice. Fashion is memory—it ties you to moments and people.”
On her style at home with her son, Moses:
“He knows when I’m leaving the house based on my shoes. He’ll see a pair of heels and say, ‘Okay, Mommy’s going to work.’ That makes me smile because it shows him that fashion is part of who I am, not something I put on for other people.”
On what drives her:
“I’m a working mom, an executive, and a woman in her fifties thriving in television. There was a time when women like me could be erased or forgotten. Not anymore. I want to be a reminder that this is when the party really starts.”
