The cast of Lionsgate’s new psychological thriller The Housemaid, directed by Paul Feig, lit up the red carpet at 787 Seventh Ave for the film’s star-studded premiere. The ensemble posed for photos alongside their co-stars, filmmakers, and special guests.
Notable attendees at the premiere included Adam Fogelson, Laura Fischer, Todd Lieberman, Michele Morrone, Amanda Seyfried, Sydney Sweeney, Brandon Sklenar, Indiana Elle, and director Paul Feig.
Amanda Seyfried stars as Nina Winchester, the elegant but enigmatic woman who hires Millie, with Brandon Sklenar portraying her husband. The film’s talented cast also includes Michele Morrone (Enzo), Elizabeth Perkins (Evelyn Winchester), Indiana Elle (Cecelia Winchester), Mark Grossman (Scott Crawford), Hannah Cruz (Lexi), Megan Ferguson (Jilianne), and Ellen Tamaki (Patrice).
Adapted by Rebecca Sonnenshine from Freida McFadden’s bestselling 2022 novel, The Housemaid follows Millie Calloway played by Sydney Sweeney a young woman with a complicated past who accepts a housekeeping job with an affluent family. What begins as the perfect opportunity quickly unravels as Millie discovers the household is filled with chilling secrets lurking beneath the polished surface.

“The Housemaid” can refer to the 2025 psychological thriller film starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, or the best-selling 2022 novel by Freida McFadden that the movie is based on. Both stories are about a woman with a troubled past who takes a job as a live-in maid for a wealthy family, only to become entangled in their dark secrets and dangerous games. The film is scheduled for release on December 19, 2025.
