Eva Marcille is looking back at her America’s Next Top Model journey with gratitude and perspective as conversations swirl around the new Netflix docuseries revisiting the franchise. The Cycle 3 winner of America’s Next Top Model shared that while she tuned in along with the nearly 14 million viewers who once made the show a cultural phenomenon she was not asked to participate in the project. According to Eva, producers were primarily interested in featuring models whose careers didn’t flourish after the show. Her path, she explained, was different.
Winning Cycle 3 launched her into a successful career, and she credits Tyra Banks for giving her the opportunity that changed her life. At the time, she admitted, none of them including Tyra fully understood just how massive the show would become. There was no social media machine amplifying every moment, and much of the experience felt like navigating uncharted territory. Still, Eva says she walked away with a positive outcome and has fought hard to build the career she enjoys today.
Now, she’s channeling that same drive into her latest project, starring in Lifetime’s Pushed Off a Plane and Survived. The actress opened up about what drew her to the intense true story, teasing the emotional and psychological depth viewers can expect. Beyond the drama, Eva says this chapter of her life is about growth, clarity, and appreciating how far she’s come since her reality TV days proof that her story didn’t end on the runway; it only began there.
