I had an absolute blast mixing and mingling with the cast of the upcoming drama series Nemesis, set to hit Netflix soon! The evening unfolded at the chic Elektra, tucked inside the ultra-swanky The Fourth Hotel and yes, the vibes were as elevated as the setting. Think delicious bites, flowing cocktails, and a room buzzing with excitement.
Nemesis dives into the high-stakes collision between two men on opposite sides of the law an unstoppable criminal force and a razor-sharp detective. What starts as a clever twist on the heist genre quickly spirals into a gripping story layered with family tension, explosive action, and the kind of drama that keeps you on edge.
I had the pleasure of meeting the incredible cast, including Matthew Law (Isaiah Stiles), Y’lan Noel (Coltrane Wilder), and Gabrielle Dennis (Candice Stiles), among others.
Chatting with Y’lan was a highlight he shared that many of the actors performed their own stunts, which definitely raises the stakes (and the excitement!). Gabrielle and I bonded over our Ohio roots Cincinnati, to be exact and she dished on her role as a brilliant, level-headed wife trying to convince her husband (played by Matthew Law) to step away from the intensity of his LAPD career. She described their relationship as layered and tense and when I shared my own real-life story of being a bride-to-be with a former deputy sheriff, she got a good laugh out of that!
And just when I thought the night couldn’t get any better, I learned that the first two episodes are directed by none other than Mario Van Peebles talk about a powerhouse touch.
All in all, it was an unforgettable evening, and if the energy from that night is any indication, Nemesis is about to be your next obsession when it premieres on May 14th. See all the fun inside…
