Comedic Brothers Marlon & Shawn Wayans Visit Magic City In ATL

Comedic brothers Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans touched down in Atlanta yesterday afternoon to promote the highly anticipated return of their iconic horror spoof franchise, Scary Movie. Fans still quote the original movie to this day, and now the Wayans brothers are back with even more laughs, chaos, and over-the-top comedy in Scary Movie 6!

The duo made their way to Regal Atlantic Station where they were greeted by excited fans, flashing cameras, and even a few creepy Ghostface characters roaming around for the festivities. Following the red carpet, Shawn and Marlon posed for photos, mingled with the crowd, and hosted a hilarious Q&A session where they reflected on the massive cult following the franchise has built over the years. The brothers admitted they never imagined the original film would grow into such a pop culture phenomenon, but said writing spoofs and connecting with audiences has become even more fun with time.

Of course, Marlon had the crowd cracking up when he casually announced they were headed to Atlanta’s legendary Magic City after the event and made sure to shout out the club’s famous lemon pepper wings too! LOL!

And yes, the party definitely continued later that night at the iconic hotspot, where a massive billboard promoting Scary Movie 6 towers outside the club ahead of the film’s June 5 release. Inside, dancers and partygoers turned all the way up as “Ghostface money” rained through the air during performances and lap dances. Atlanta truly knows how to put on a show! It was all playful fun and hilarious vibes, but you can’t help but wonder… who ended up being Ghostface’s favorite dancer of the night?

Opened in 1985 by Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney, Magic City has grown from a small downtown Atlanta print shop into a world-famous cultural landmark. Widely recognized as the birthplace of trap music and an unofficial tastemaker hub for Southern hip-hop, the club has hosted everyone from rappers to athletes and celebrities over the decades. Barney, who earned the nickname “Magic” as a top-selling toner salesman, built the venue around premium customer service and top-tier entertainment and nearly four decades later, the legacy is still unmatched.
