Celebrity Style: Sheryl Lee Ralph Sequins Strapless Gown At The Emmy’s

Sheryl Lee Ralph brought the glamour to the Emmys! The fabulous actress hit the red carpet representing her hit series Abbott Elementary, and honey, she was definitely giving leading-lady energy!

Sheryl did create a little buzz before the big night after being quoted as calling Abbott Elementary the “only real comedy” at the Emmys. Ouch! The comment definitely stirred things up, and she later circled back to clarify her remarks and do a little backpedaling. I’m sure we’ve all had those moments when something gets taken out of context! LOL.

But controversy aside, Sheryl recovered beautifully and the fashion was absolutely EVERYTHING! She stepped onto the red carpet in a striking, sequin-covered strapless gown designed by none other than Sergio Hudson, a friend of the site and a designer who has been having quite the moment this year!

And speaking of Sergio, his recent NYFW collection gave us plenty of stellar looks, so seeing Sheryl step out in one of his glamorous creations was such a treat. The shimmering gown hugged her beautifully and delivered just the right amount of drama for Emmy night.

I also loved her hair and makeup! Everything was polished, sophisticated and perfectly balanced the sparkle and silhouette of the gown without competing with it.

Whatever the headlines may have been, Sheryl definitely knew how to turn the page and let the fashion do the talking! She looked absolutely stunning, and I have to say I LOVE her style!
