Last night I got a chance to stop by the new Uncle Jack’s Tavern located in downtown Lawrenceville, Ga. I do not live far from this restaurant, so I was happy about that! I attended the VIP Experience a few weeks back and the food was amazing! This time around, it was more of a relaxed atmosphere and I got to enjoy my experience a little bit better.
My friend Chef Dylan was cooking last night and I asked him what he suggested I try on the menu. He said the Wagyu Salisbury Steak was really good and Brian the GM said I had to try the BAMM BAMM Quake. This was a really good milkshake with Fruity Pebbles for garnishment! I have a bad sweet tooth, so that definitely hit the spot! As far as the restaurant, it’s state of the art, I love the decor and layout! Lots of space for big groups, private parties or just for two.
They have indoor and outdoor bars. The “Beer Garden Bar” has huge flat screens and a great space for summertime fun. For the colder season they have heating lamps there as well. This is great and especially if you’re all about outside dining now. The indoor seating is something I’ve never seen before, they have tall seating booths that are so comfortable.
The food is American Tavern Redefined. Some things that stood out to me on the menu were the In House Applewood Smoke Bacon, General Jack’s Boneless Chicken Wings, Jack’s Steak Sandwiches, Shaved Brussels Tavern Salad and the Jacked Up Banana Split(serves 4). Again, I tried the Salisbury Steak and was very pleased and the portions are always big and enough to take home for later! Stop by if you’re in the area or plan on visiting, such a great and fun time!
