I’m pretty sure that you have had Shepherd’s Pie once in your lifetime. It’s a savory dish of cooked minced meat topped with mashed potatoes and then baked. Most people use some sort of meat and it is simply delicious! I had some yesterday and it smelled so good coming from the oven and I wanted to share with you a great recipe thats really easy to make its such a lovely comfort food!
It’s an old recipe that goes way from England audits traditionally made with beef or lamb, veggies and potatoes. Some like to call it “cottage pie”. Step inside to get the recipe and I hope you stay healthy and safe going into the new year!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 tablespoon thyme
- 1/2 tablespoon rosemary
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- 2 beef bouillon Cubes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon white pepper salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 egg yolk
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup mix veggies
- 2 pounds of ground beef
- 6 medium size potatoes
- 6oz. Parmesan cheese
Boil Potatoes
Preheat over to 400 degrees
Saute veggies
Add cooked ground beef
Add cooked potatoes
Layer all the ingredients, pour into casserole dish
Bake in oven
