Actress Demi Moore won her first-ever Golden Globe on Sunday night, taking home the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Musical or Comedy. The honor was for her standout role in The Substance.
At 62, Moore reflected on the significance of the win in her acceptance speech, revealing that she had thought her acting career was behind her—until The Substance script came along.
In an interview with NPR’s Fresh Air, Moore shared, “This is just the beginning. I’ve never been in this exact moment before. My children are grown, I have more independence than ever, and it’s a wonderful time of exploration and discovery. I want to stay present and open to all the possibilities ahead.”
“In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough, or skinny enough or successful enough, or basically just not enough,” Moore said. “I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know, you will never be enough. But you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'”
The nominee and presenter dazzled in a custom Giorgio Armani Privé strapless champagne silk gown, featuring a curved geometric design adorned with Swarovski crystals. See more inside…
