Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance at the London premiere of “F1,” joining Brad Pitt on the red carpet as the two A-list actors posed for photos together. The event marked a long-awaited reunion, 31 years after they starred together in Neil Jordan’s 1994 horror classic Interview With the Vampire.
Both stars are headlining two of the biggest blockbusters of the summer movie season. Cruise returned as Ethan Hunt in May’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which debuted to a franchise-best $200 million globally and has since grossed over $540 million. Pitt, on the other hand, leads Apple and Warner Bros.’ high-octane racing film F1, directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski. Legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer is also behind both films.
