Celebrity Style: Crystal Renee Hayslett’s Black Outfit At Tyler Perry’s Zatima Season 4 Premiere

I had the pleasure of catching up with actress Crystal Renée Hayslett at the premiere of Zatima, now celebrating its 4th season! It feels like just yesterday I interviewed her about stepping into the role of Fatima Wilson on Sistas and now she’s leading her own spin-off.

Beyond her on-screen success, many may not know Crystal holds a degree in Mass Communications & Public Relations and first joined Tyler Perry Studios in 2012 as a production assistant. From there, her creative journey blossomed into costume design, contributing to shows like If Loving You Is Wrong, The Haves and the Have Nots, The Paynes, Young Dylan, and films including Boo! A Madea Halloween, Acrimony, and Tyson’s Run.

On the carpet, I asked her about Fatima’s style this season, and she shared that since her character is pregnant, the wardrobe leans into unexpected maternity looks still delivering plenty of fashion moments. For the premiere, Crystal exuded elegance in an all-black ensemble: a designer oversized blazer draped over a pleated sheer dress, finished with statement earrings and sleek stiletto heels. She noted that the oversized blazer trend is having a major moment right now.
