Jennifer Lopez recently shared that her twins are preparing for the next big chapter college. “It’s crazy, we’re touring campuses now. It’s really happening they’re leaving, they’re going,” she said. “I’m happy for them because I remember how exciting that time in my life was. It’s such an incredible adventure, and I want them to experience that. At the same time, I’m realizing I’ll be on my own. Part of me thinks I might enjoy that, but my goal has always been to create a home they’ll always want to come back to that’s been my mission since the day they were born.”
Lopez also opened up about how live theatre has inspired her from a young age. “The first Broadway show I ever saw was Song & Dance with Bernadette Peters. My aunt, who has since passed, took me she loved the arts,” she recalled. “I remember it like it was yesterday. I still have ‘Unexpected Song’ stuck in my head because she used to sing it. Whenever I went to shows, I’d think, ‘I want to be up there doing that.’ I remember asking someone if they felt the same way, and they said, ‘No.’ I was like, ‘Oh, so it’s just me!’”
Reflecting on her latest project, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Lopez couldn’t hide her excitement. “I still can’t believe I got to perform these iconic Kander and Ebb songs, there are 10 musical numbers in the film,” she said. “When I read the script, I immediately thought, ‘This is what I’ve been waiting for. This is it!’ The musical isn’t like the ones we see today, it’s the kind I grew up watching and loving.” See more inside…
