Sherri Calls Out SNL Lack Of Diversity

Taylor dropped her new album called The Life of a Showgirl but it might as well be called the Life of a Nasty Girl. Miss Swift, if you’re nasty. Because Taylor has a song about Travis Kelce and how he puts down in the bedroom. The song is called Wood. In the song, she compares Travis to a Big Redwood Tree some lyrics I can’t even say on this daytime show. She sings about his magic wand and Travis has that podcast with his brother, New Heights. Well, she says she experiences the new heights of his manhood. I don’t know if this is an album or Cinemax after dark. What is going on? She went from crying on the keyboard to sweating on the headboard. I don’t know what Travis Kelce is putting down on her 50-yard line.

At what point, they get so freaky? I think it’s tha Kansas City barbecue obviously woke something up on Taylor. That’s a new aphrodisiac. Forget oysters, give me a slab of brisket. This is what happens when you stop dating poets and start dating big burly men with shoulder pads.Travis is a tight end on the field and apparently a full back in the bedroom.

My fantasies have already started when Travis is catching passes, I’m the ball. When he’s running interferences. he’s running right into me. Travis didn’t just make it into the end zone, y’all went into overtime.

While talking about the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live,” Sherri stresses the importance of representation and advocates for Black female comedians.

When I watched “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, I noticed something was missing. Ego Nwodim left the show … and she was their only Black female cast member. Now there are no Black women on “SNL.” They gotta hurry up and find somebody because … this is an emergency. It’s so important. We gotta have representation on that show. When I co-hosted “The View,” there were no Black women on the show [SNL] to play me or to play Whoopi. Kenan Thompson would play Whoopi at the table when they spoofed me and there was no Black woman to play me …  and then they had the nerve when Tracy Morgan guest hosted to have Tracy Morgan play me … That was supposed to be me and they had Tracy Morgan in that tired old shake and go wig looking like he sits third row at church and serves the dinner after the service. He still has a 5 o’clock shadow. SNL, I’m trying to understand … you gotta replace Ego. What I don’t like hearing is: we can’t find anybody. There are a lot of talented Black female comics out there you can cast on SNL … even comics who have been in my Laugh Lounge right here … Tacarra Williams …. comedian B-Phlat … Yamanieka Saunders … including my comic producer Robin Montague … SNL, do not disappoint us.
