Floating Charms & Fairy-Tale Feelings: An Origami Owl Disney Dream

Origami Owl is an American, privately owned custom jewelry brand founded in 2010 by then–14-year-old Isabella “Bella” Weems alongside her mother, Chrissy Weems. What began as a dream between mother and daughter has grown into a thriving company with more than 60,000 independent designers across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada. The brand is best known for its signature Living Lockets clear, story-filled pendants designed to be personalized with meaningful charms that reflect life’s most special moments.

While attending the AmericasMart Gift Show, I had the pleasure of visiting Origami Owl’s showroom, where they were showcasing an enchanting Disney collection. Naturally, I shared my longtime love for all things Disney especially Disney Princesses and my forever favorite, Princess Tiana. That’s when Chrissy surprised me with the most thoughtful gifts.

She presented me with two beautiful necklaces. The first was a customizable Living Locket filled with floating charms that instantly stole my heart. Inside were Princess Tiana, a heart, a pink Disney water lily, and Tiana’s tiara each charm telling a story and celebrating a character who has meant so much to me over the years. It’s whimsical, personal, and absolutely perfect.

The second necklace was especially meaningful: an In Memory Heart Capsule Locket. After we spoke about the passing of my mom, Chrissy shared that this piece could serve as a kind of guardian angel a keepsake close to my heart. That gesture alone made the experience unforgettable.

While I’m not typically a big jewelry person (I lean toward dainty, lightweight pieces because bulky jewelry can feel overwhelming), Origami Owl fits my style and personality beautifully.
