On today’s episode of SHERRI, talk show host Sherri Shepherd reacted to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance and addressed the recent news surrounding her show’s cancellation. Holding back tears though the emotion was unmistakable in her voice Sherri shared a heartfelt message with her fans.
“I am truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love I’ve received from all of you,” she said. “The intention of this show was always always for you to leave happier than when you came. It has been my dream to have a talk show, and I’m so grateful I got the chance to do it for four seasons.”
Sherri expressed deep gratitude for the emails, texts, messages, and love she’s received since the announcement, thanking fans for showing up for her in such a meaningful way. She reiterated that the foundation of SHERRI has always been joy along with her well-known love for Lenny Kravitz—and making people feel good.
While the show is ending, Sherri made it clear she’s not throwing in the towel. New episodes will continue to air through the fall, and she promised that whatever comes next will still be rooted in joy. Calling herself a fighter, she admitted she doesn’t know exactly what the future looks like yet—but she knows it will involve laughter.
In true Sherri fashion, she joked that viewers should expect surprises (with security on standby, just in case), adding, “Don’t come here and commit petty crimes but we will have a good time.” She assured fans she’ll continue to make them laugh, get in their business, and keep them longer than they planned.
