Today, Paramount+ dropped an exclusive first look at the eighth and final season of The Chi, offering fans a powerful preview of the series’ last chapter. Production officially kicked off in January, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable farewell.
As The Chi enters its final season set against its coldest and most unforgiving winter yet everything is on the line. Life-altering decisions must be made, and the ultimate question looms: who is truly willing to face the consequences? Themes of legacy, conflict, joy, and heartbreak collide in what is shaping up to be the most emotionally charged season yet.
The series stars Jacob Latimore, Birgundi Baker, Luke James, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps, Hannaha Hall, and Jason Weaver.
Created and executive produced by Emmy® winner Lena Waithe (Twenties, Master of None) under her Hillman Grad banner, the series also features executive producers and co-showrunners Justin Hillian (Hillianaire Productions) and Jewel Coronel (Uncut Gems).
Additional executive producers include Academy Award® and Emmy winner Common (Selma), Aaron Kaplan (A Million Little Things, The Neighborhood), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Resheida Brady-Anderson, Derek Dudley, Shelby Stone (ID8 Multimedia), Naomi Funabashi, and Rishi Rajani, with James Rogers III joining the team this season.
Fan-favorite directors Deondray Gossfield and Quincy LeNear Gossfield return to helm multiple episodes and step into expanded roles as Co-Executive Producers.
