Kurt Russell shared that he plans to attend the Oscars® alongside Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn. “I think I’m going to join Goldie with Kate, and it’ll be a wonderful night,” he said. “It would be great if it landed her way, because Goldie was nominated twice and won once. If that were to happen for Kate, she would have been nominated twice and won once as well.”
Russell also reminisced about the very first time he met Goldie Hawn. “It was around 1966 or 1967. My mom was a serious dancer, and at the time I was working on a film. I was in the little red schoolhouse when I came out and saw my mom walking by with a troupe of dancers,” he recalled.
“My mom told me the dancers were auditioning on Stage 4 and asked if I wanted to watch. I was 16, so I said, ‘Sure, Mom.’ There was this girl with a funny blonde haircut. After about five minutes of watching them work with the choreographer, my mom leaned over and said, ‘You see that girl with the funny blonde haircut?’ I said yes. She said, ‘She’s going to get the job.’ That girl was Goldie Hawn.”
