Kelly Clarkson Tries Regina King’s Orange Wine

Regina King stopped by to share a heartfelt story about the special bond she shared with her late son, Ian, and introduced Kelly to her new MianÜ Orange Wine, a project that holds deep personal meaning.

During their conversation, Regina revealed her love of entertaining and hosting gatherings, joking that while she enjoys cooking, cleaning is not exactly her favorite task. Kelly quickly volunteered herself as the perfect party partner, admitting she loves cleaning but prefers to leave the cooking to someone else.

The conversation then turned to wine, where Regina introduced Kelly to orange wine a variety she says was first introduced to her by Ian. Describing it as “sunshine in a glass,” Regina explained that orange wine gets its distinctive color from a winemaking process known as skin contact, where the grape skins remain with the juice for a period of time. Their MianÜ blend combines Gewürztraminer and Chardonnay grapes, creating a bright, warm, and approachable wine.

For Regina, the project is about much more than what’s in the bottle. She shared that Ian served as the creative inspiration behind the brand and that the wine reflects his warmth, curiosity, and ability to connect with people. She lovingly referred to him as the brand’s creative director, saying the wine captures the spirit of who he was.

Regina also recalled a touching memory from years earlier when she visited a winery and purchased a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon with one goal in mind to save it until Ian turned 21. When that day finally came, they shared the bottle together, creating one of her most cherished memories.

Today, Regina says she continues to honor Ian through joyful remembrance and meaningful traditions. Through MianÜ and the memories they created together, she keeps his presence close, celebrating a relationship built on love, laughter, and connection one glass at a time.
