Angels Assemble! Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson & Cheryl Ladd Bring Charlie’s Angels Magic to the Emmys

Talk about a blast from the past! Television history came full circle at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards when three of the original Charlie’s Angels stars reunited onstage to celebrate the iconic series’ 50th anniversary.

Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd looked absolutely fabulous as they stepped onto the Emmy stage Monday night, September 14, giving fans a major dose of nostalgia while presenting the award for Outstanding Drama Series.

At 80, 77 and 75 respectively, the three actresses proved that these Angels still know how to make an entrance! Their appearance was introduced by Emmy host Mariska Hargitay, who paid tribute to the trio and their groundbreaking roles as glamorous, fearless secret agents who helped redefine what women could look like and do on primetime television.

The reunion also carried an especially touching moment as the actresses remembered their late costar Farrah Fawcett, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 62.

Smith, Jackson and Fawcett made television history together when Charlie’s Angels premiered on ABC in 1976. The glamorous crime-fighting trio quickly became pop-culture icons, inspiring fashion trends, hairstyles and an entire generation of fans.

When Fawcett departed the series after its first season, Cheryl Ladd joined the cast for Season 2 and remained with the show until it wrapped in 1981. Jackson continued through the third season before departing in 1979.

Seeing Smith, Jackson and Ladd together again was such a fabulous full-circle moment and honestly, all three ladies looked amazing!

I have to admit, this one made me smile because Charlie’s Angels was one of my favorite shows to watch back in my day! There was just something about those glamorous women, fabulous fashion and fearless adventures that made the show so much fun.

Fifty years later, the Angels still have the magic!
