Hollywood was buzzing Tuesday night as Tyler Perry reunited the cast of Why Did I Get Married Again? for a star-studded celebration of the highly anticipated film’s release.
Perry, 56, was joined by returning cast members Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Richard T. Jones, Sharon Leal and Lamman Rucker, along with franchise newcomer Taraji P. Henson, at a special Netflix screening held September 8 in Los Angeles.
Taraji, who joins the franchise for its third installment as a brand-new character, hit the red carpet alongside Perry and the returning stars, bringing plenty of star power to the evening.
The celebration also drew a who’s who of Hollywood, including Da’Vinchi, Jaden Michael, Laya DeLeon Hayes, Sydney Winbush, Everett Osborne, Derrick A. King, Kenya Moore, Eva Marcille, Bresha Webb, DeRay Davis and Elise Neal.
The latest installment reunites many familiar faces from the beloved franchise while introducing Henson into the mix, giving audiences a fresh dynamic alongside the characters they’ve come to know and love.
And the timing couldn’t be better Why Did I Get Married Again? officially began streaming on Netflix Wednesday, September 9, marking the return of the franchise more than 16 years after the previous film.
With a mix of familiar faces, new characters and plenty of relationship drama, Tyler Perry is bringing this beloved story back to the screen for another chapter!
