Dolls, if there’s one celebrity who knows how to bring the laughs, glamour, and a whole lot of personality, it’s the fabulous Niecy Nash-Betts!
The Emmy-winning actress stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and when I tell you she had me cracking up, I mean it! From her over-the-top Halloween costumes to her hilarious stories about working with Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, and Naomi Watts on All’s Fair, Niecy did not hold back!
And you already know how much I love a fabulous woman who can serve a look, tell a good story, and keep everyone entertained!
With Season 2 of All’s Fair heading to Hulu, Niecy had plenty to celebrate. But before getting into all the juicy behind-the-scenes details, she took Jimmy down memory lane with some of her most unforgettable Halloween looks.

Niecy Nash-Betts Loves Halloween, and Her Costumes Are Everything!
First of all, can we talk about how much Niecy loves Halloween?
She told Jimmy that dressing up has been one of her favorite things since childhood. But her story about those old-fashioned plastic Halloween costumes had me laughing!
Remember those costumes that came with the thin plastic outfit and a little mask held on by a rubber band?
Well, Niecy said she would cry every year because she didn’t want to wear them!
When her mother asked what she wanted to be instead, little Niecy had the most fabulous answer.
She wanted to be a lady!
Now, isn’t that something? Lol!
And judging by the glamorous woman she’s become, I’d say she accomplished that goal beautifully!
Niecy has definitely elevated her Halloween game over the years, and her costumes are anything but ordinary.
Niecy Nash-Betts Dresses as Rihanna, Brandy, and Jessica Rabbit!
During the interview, Jimmy showed off some of Niecy’s incredible Halloween transformations.
One of my favorites was when Niecy and her spouse, Jessica Betts, recreated Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s Met Gala looks.
Dolls, the attention to detail was fabulous!
Niecy even shared a funny story about running into Rihanna at an awards ceremony.
She spotted the superstar sitting in front of her and couldn’t resist asking whether Rihanna had seen her Halloween costume.
And guess what?
Rihanna had already seen it!
Can you imagine dressing up as one of the biggest stars in the world and then getting to ask her about it in person?
I love that!
Niecy and Jessica also recreated Brandy and Monica’s looks inspired by The Boy Is Mine Tour, and they absolutely understood the assignment!
The styling, the poses, the overall presentation—it was all so good!
And let’s not forget Niecy’s glamorous Jessica Rabbit costume from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Now, you already know I love anything feminine, whimsical, and a little over-the-top, so that look was right up my alley!
Niecy knows how to have fun with fashion, and I appreciate a woman who doesn’t take herself too seriously.
Niecy’s Weekend Tradition Includes Crab and Expensive Champagne!
Now, dolls, this next part had Jimmy Fallon completely tickled!
Niecy revealed that she and Jessica have a rather interesting weekend tradition.
Apparently, their weekends involve enjoying delicious crab, sipping expensive champagne, and spending some romantic time together!
And Niecy was not shy about sharing the details! Lol!
She joked that the tradition started early in their relationship and has continued ever since.
Listen, I’m all for couples finding little rituals that keep their relationships fun and exciting!
And while everybody may not have Niecy’s exact weekend routine, I do love the idea of making time to enjoy your spouse.
Good food, quality time, and a little romance?
That sounds like a lovely weekend to me!
Niecy Nash-Betts Announces Mother Knows Murder Podcast
Niecy also revealed that she’s stepping into the true-crime podcast world with a new project called Mother Knows Murder.
And this idea actually came from something she and her daughter already enjoy doing together!
Niecy explained that they’re both fascinated by true-crime stories.
They watch documentaries, follow different cases, and then call each other to discuss everything they’ve learned.
Sometimes they even find themselves talking about these stories while lying in bed together!
Eventually, Niecy realized they might as well turn their shared interest into a podcast.
And just like that, Mother Knows Murder was born!
I think that’s such a fun idea, especially because it’s something that grew organically from their mother-daughter relationship.
It’s always interesting to see celebrities explore projects that reflect their real-life interests outside of acting.
Niecy Nash-Betts Says the All’s Fair Cast Is Even Closer in Season 2!
Of course, the conversation eventually turned to the fabulous ladies of All’s Fair!
And dolls, you already know I’ve been keeping my eye on this glamorous cast!
The Hulu legal drama features an impressive lineup, including Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, and Niecy Nash-Betts.
That’s a whole lot of talent and personality in one room!
Niecy told Jimmy that she absolutely adores her castmates, and their friendships have grown even stronger while working on Season 2.
She joked that filming the first season is like summer camp.
Everyone is getting to know one another, having fun, and putting their best foot forward.
But by the second season?
That’s when you really find out who people are! Lol!
And with so many strong personalities working together, things could easily get interesting.
Fortunately, Niecy said the women remain incredibly close.
In fact, she described their off-camera friendships as something she hasn’t experienced very often in the entertainment industry.
And I love hearing that!
There’s something special about seeing a group of successful women genuinely supporting and enjoying one another.
Especially in Hollywood, where we hear so many stories about competition and behind-the-scenes tension.
These ladies seem to have created their own little sisterhood!
Sarah Paulson and Kim Kardashian Can’t Stop Laughing on Set!
Now, here’s some behind-the-scenes tea that made me laugh!
According to Niecy, Sarah Paulson is quite the troublemaker on set!
But not in a bad way!
Apparently, Sarah has a special talent for making Kim Kardashian laugh.
And once Kim starts laughing, it’s pretty much a wrap!
Niecy joked that filming can come to a complete standstill because the two women get caught up in uncontrollable giggles.
She said the rest of the cast might as well take a break, grab a snack, or make a phone call because it can take quite a while for everyone to settle down again!
Can you imagine?
Here you have these glamorous women dressed in fabulous designer wardrobes, preparing to film dramatic scenes, and suddenly nobody can stop laughing!
I absolutely love that visual!
And it makes me appreciate the cast’s chemistry even more.
Sometimes the friendships behind the camera are just as entertaining as the scenes we see onscreen!
Glenn Close Is Apparently the Biggest Surprise on Set!
Now, dolls, this story about Glenn Close really caught me off guard!
Niecy admitted that before working with Glenn, she assumed the legendary actress would be very proper and reserved.
After all, Glenn has such an impressive career and carries herself with so much elegance.
But according to Niecy, Glenn is absolutely hilarious!
She recalled one particularly funny moment on the final day of filming when Glenn was leaving the set.
Instead of giving everyone a quiet, dignified goodbye, Glenn reportedly rode away in a car with her legs hanging out of the back window while playfully shouting farewell to the cast!
I would have loved to see that!
Who knew Glenn Close was cutting up like that behind the scenes?
It just goes to show that you can never judge someone’s personality by the serious characters they play onscreen.
I love a fabulous woman with a great sense of humor!
Why the All’s Fair Cast Became Ketchup, Mustard, and Mayo!
One of the funniest moments of the interview came when Jimmy showed a photo of Niecy, Naomi Watts, and Kim Kardashian wearing coordinating outfits.
Niecy explained that the ladies had to wear those particular costumes for so long during filming that everyone eventually started referring to them by condiment names.
Yes, dolls!
Ketchup, mustard, and mayo!
Can you imagine being on a glamorous Hollywood set and hearing someone call for Mustard to come back to work?
I was cracking up!
As someone who loves fashion and pays close attention to the fabulous wardrobes on All’s Fair, I found that story especially funny.
The clothes on this show are practically characters themselves!
From structured designer suits to dramatic accessories and glamorous styling, the fashion is one of the reasons I enjoy following this series.
And knowing the ladies have their own funny nicknames for their outfits makes it even better!
Niecy Nash-Betts Responds to the All’s Fair Critics!
Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room.
When the first season of All’s Fair premiered, the show received some pretty harsh reviews from critics.
And Niecy was not afraid to address it!
She joked that the critics absolutely dragged the series, but the audience response told a very different story.
According to Niecy, viewers embraced the show, helping it achieve strong streaming numbers internationally.
And she clearly enjoyed having the last laugh!
One of the funniest moments came when she shared her mother’s reaction to the show’s Rotten Tomatoes score.
Her mom couldn’t believe the series had received a zero and jokingly wondered why the critics couldn’t give them at least one tomato!

But seriously, I think there’s an interesting conversation to be had about the difference between critical reviews and audience enjoyment.

What’s Next for Niecy Nash-Betts in All’s Fair Season 2?
Niecy also teased what viewers can expect from her character, Emerald, in the second season.
She revealed that Emerald is entering a new chapter of life as an empty nester.
And while Niecy joked about what she personally did when she became an empty nester, she kept the details of Emerald’s journey under wraps.
We’ll have to tune in to see exactly what happens!
Jimmy also shared a clip from the upcoming season featuring Niecy’s character directing a glamorous makeover moment filled with wigs, dresses, jewelry, and shoes.
And of course, Emerald made it clear that the ladies were going for Black excellence!
Now that’s my kind of scene!

Dolls, I have always enjoyed Niecy Nash-Betts because she brings so much personality to everything she does.
She’s glamorous, funny, confident, and unapologetically herself.
And I love that!
Whether she’s dressed as Rihanna for Halloween, sharing hilarious stories about her marriage, or spilling behind-the-scenes tea about her All’s Fair castmates, Niecy knows how to keep things entertaining.
What I especially enjoyed about this interview was hearing how close the women have become.
We often see these actresses looking absolutely stunning on red carpets and in promotional photos, but it’s refreshing to learn that they’re genuinely having fun together behind the scenes.
And can we talk about the fashion for a moment?
I’ve been following the All’s Fair press appearances and red-carpet looks, and these ladies have been serving some serious style inspiration!
From Kim Kardashian’s vintage designer moments to Niecy’s glamorous gowns and Naomi Watts’ elegant ensembles, the fashion alone gives me plenty to talk about!
I also love that Niecy continues to explore new opportunities, including her upcoming podcast.

And honestly, that’s the kind of energy I love to see!
As for the critics, well, everybody is entitled to their opinion.
But sometimes a show finds its audience simply because it’s entertaining, stylish, and gives viewers something fun to talk about.
And there’s nothing wrong with that!
