Grammy-nominated singer Summer Walker stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show to chat about her new album and everything she has going on. Just last week here in Atlanta, she surprised fans on Instagram by announcing the launch of her very own dump-trucking company.
In a playful promo video, Summer revealed that her brightly painted aqua-blue dump truck would be “riding around Atlanta, coming to pick up your ex’s stuff.” The truck even featured a phone number on the back, though it was cropped out in the clip she shared.
“Make sure you have it ready,” she joked. “You don’t have to hold on to anything anymore we’re coming to pick it up!”
It didn’t take long for fans to realize the dump-truck idea is part of a creative marketing campaign for her upcoming album, Finally Over It, the third and final installment in her “Over It” trilogy, dropping Friday, November 14. The promotion is in partnership with YouTube, which is supporting the rollout of her new project.
As part of the campaign, the truck made a stop at Spelman College in Atlanta, where students were invited to toss out items they no longer needed. Those donations will go to local Atlanta charities.
During her appearance on Jennifer’s show, Summer also opened up about her journey from posting guitar covers on YouTube and Vine to becoming a Grammy nominee and making history alongside Taylor Swift. She spoke candidly about releasing stress, embracing growth, and stepping confidently into a new chapter themes that inspired her latest album Finally Over It. See more inside…
